SITUATION
Widely scattered severe thunderstorms are forecast to
develop and intensify this afternoon and evening as the storms move
east across the Watch. A few supercells are possible and will pose
a risk for damaging gusts and large hail.
The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 70
statute miles east and west of a line from 30 miles north of Ely MN
to 95 miles southwest of Kennedy WI. For a complete depiction of the

PRECAUTIONS
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means conditions are
favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.
Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for threatening
weather conditions and listen for later statements and possible
warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce
tornadoes.
