    IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas, rivers and around area lakes. Some low-water crossings may become impassable.

    ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 254 PM CDT Monday, elevated river and lake levels continue. - This includes the following streams and drainages... Moose River, Jeanette Creek, Horse River, Basswood River, Kawishiwi River, and Hustler River. Additional rainfall amounts up to two tenths to three tenths of an inch are expected over the area through mid-week. Expect high, fast moving water on area rivers and elevated lake levels. Water levels are near or above those seen during flood events in Spring 2022 and June 2024. Areas near the end of the Gunflint Trail and near Ely will continue to see slow decreases in elevated water levels this week. For areas near and on Basswood Lake, flows are peaking as of Sunday afternoon, May 10, and at Lac La Croix peak flows are expected this week. Those venturing into the Boundary Waters should prepare for high water and possible inundation of portages and campsites, as well as dangerous rapids and very cold water. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Gunflint Lake, Snowbank Lake, Basswood Lake, Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness, Fall Lake, Sea Gull Lake, Saganaga Lake, Ensign Lake, Disappointment Lake and Lac La Croix. - Flood safety information can be found at

Trampled By Turtles (TBT) is an indie folk band from Duluth, Minnesota. The group is most famous for both its fast-paced songs and plaintive ballads. Their high-energy concerts have attracted an ever-growing, dedicated fan following. The band members have referenced inspirations such as Townes Van Zandt, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, and Ralph Stanley. Their fifth release, Palomino, has maintained a position in the Top 10 on the Billboard bluegrass charts for 52 straight weeks. Their music has been featured in TV shows including Deadliest Catch and Squidbillies. Their sixth studio album, Stars and Satellites, was released on April 10, 2012.

The band has performed at many national festivals including Coachella, Stagecoach, Summerfest, Bumbershoot, and Pickathon. In 2011, they performed at several large folk festivals such as Telluride Bluegrass Festival, Newport Folk Festival and 2011 ROMP roots and branches. They are scheduled to play the Sasquatch Festival, Bonnaroo, All Good Music Festival, Newport Folk Festival, and Lollapalooza in 2012.

2014 saw the release of Trampled by Turtles's seventh studio album, Wild Animals, on July 15th. The band tapped Alan Sparhawk, from the band Low, to produce Wild Animals. Sparhawk's influence is evident in the band's seemingly more alternative, high lonesome sound. The night of Wild Animals' release, TBT made their second appearance on the Late Show with David Letterman. On August 16th, Trampled by Turtles headlined a sold out show at Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison, CO.
