Black Eyed Snakes

The Black Eyed Snakes are a blues rock band founded by Alan "Chicken Bone George" Sparhawk, who has played in many other bands including the internationally recognized Low. They started performing together in 2000 and have three albums to their name: 2001's "We're the Black Eyed Snakes", 2003's "Rise Up", and 2018's "Seven Horses". All of their records were released on Alan's label "Chairkickers' Union". He describes the ethos of the band as follows: "We actually hate most blues. We were trying to destroy it. We're interested in putting the blues back into a gut level – instead of talent, we go with feeling more."
